Holgate Public School is a small rural school on the Central Coast of New South Wales.
We aim to cater for the individual needs of every pupil by developing independent and responsible students in a small, friendly community-based atmosphere. The school, while maximising student performance in the basic subject areas, places an emphasis on the performing arts and concern for the environment. The school's curriculum features a balanced educational program; successful involvement in state, regional and local sporting activities; computer skills' development with several computers in every classroom; a pupil welfare policy encompassing learn to swim, road safety, drug education, child protection; and a health promotion program. Some of the successful programs at Holgate Public School include literacy and numeracy ability groups, a variety of GATS in school activities, sporting groups as well as daily fitness sessions, a student parliament, environmental education, a school choir, dance and band groups as well as a dynamic, active after school program. Community members support our canteen, assist in the implementation of numeracy and literacy programs, coach sporting teams and work in Parents and Citizens' sub-committees.
