School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events include:
- Kindergarten Orientation Days and High School Transition

- Primary School Sports Association Sport and Gala Days
- Harmony Week and Book Week
- Excursions and Incursions including Leadership and Peer Support
- Performances and School Band Concerts
- Fundraising, Charity and Community including Father's Day Breakfast BBQ, Christmas Carols and Picnic Dinner
- Award Assemblies
- Competitions such as ICAS, Public Speaking and Spelling Bee
- Presentation Evening, Year 6 Farewell.

Helper's Breakfast
Date: Thursday 11 December
If you’ve helped in any way, big or small, we’d love to celebrate you! We warmly invite you to join us for a special breakfast as a small token of our appreciation for the wonderful support you give to our school community.
Please come along to enjoy a light breakfast and good company as we celebrate the difference you make to our school.
Annual P&C Trivia Night
Date: Term 3 each year
Our Trivia Night is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and community members in a fun and relaxed environment. This year's event was again a huge success due to the tireless work by our P&C.
Rising Star Launch
Date: Term 1 2025
What a fantastic day. The launch of our Rising Stars program was a success. Children were excited to come to school in mufti where they met Rising Star at the gate in the morning, had an iceblock at lunch and received a Rising Star goodie bag. We learned all about our new values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience and how we can demonstrate the 3Rs whilst at school.
Schools Clean Up Day
Date: Term 1 each year
Schools Clean Up Day is where schools across the country team up to help create a healthier environment for Australia. Schools clean-up day is part of clean up Australia Day. Here at Holgate Public School we participate each year and clean up our school grounds. It teaches our students to take responsibility for our environment.
Easter Hat Parade
Date: Term 1 each year
The Easter Hat Parade is held in Term 1 each year.
