How to enrol
Every child has the right to access quality public education in their local community. If you live in our local intake area, start your journey to join our vibrant school community today. Follow these key steps:
- Check your eligibility: use School Finder to confirm if your address is within our local intake area.
- Apply online: complete our online enrolment application.

School contributions
In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
Here at Holgate Public School we have a Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) Library Fund Donation which is part of the voluntary school contributions. It was set up by the P&C many years ago as a tax-deductible contribution for parents. It is charged to your child's account each year at $80 but is entirely voluntary. As a small school this money goes towards supporting teaching and learning and enhances our school programs.

Kindergarten 2026
We are excited to welcome our Kindergarten 2026 students to Holgate Public School. Commencing in October, we hold our transition to school program Headstart, which supports children transitioning to school. We also offer a Kindergarten Orientation Information Session October.
